Great question, to be honest there is no mystery to my life that could be a plot. It is the yearning for mystery and adventure that has inspired my writing and drives the plots of my books.

The poem "A Stolen Child" by WB Yeats was a big inspiration for this book. Alongside this music by Bon Iver, Lindsey Stirling, Sigur Ros and others provided a great spark.

Music is a big inspiration, when a certain piece of music just creates a spark or an emotion then I feel the excitement of a story building.

At the moment, I am working on promoting this work. But planning work is starting on a second book in the Faery series as well as some additional short stories that will serve as world builders around the books- this will be exclusive additional content for people that leave reviews of my book.

The excitement. Writing can take you to places of endless possibility. From my living room, I could end up absolutely anywhere. You can never be bored if you are a writer with a pen and paper to hand.

I walk away from the book for a while and write something else. Even if it is rubbish. Sometimes listening to music helps also.
