I've taken a sabbatical from being a company director so that I can write and spending time in fantasy worlds, writing about things that have been spinning around my head for decades is wonderful. Who knows, I may make writing my full-time occupation (need to sell more books first!).

The ideas come from my travels and some of the countries I visited are heavily featured. I spent a few years running a software company with a team out in Dhaka and my time spent there helped create the setting for several scenes in the book.
I also took inspiration from the 90's song by the band James, which shares the title.

I'm trying to market my debut novel Getting Away With It via Amazon KDP. I've also started on book two in the Daniel Sawyer thriller trilogy, The Deadly Embrace. I've also been working on notes and ideas for a future dystopian project based on the Isle of Man.

Just write. Find the time and write, whatever it is. If you aspire to write a novel, get writing. Write for yourself. If you like what you write, the chances are others will too.

I'm not averse to taking a break. I often find working on notes and ideas for future books gives me the re-surge in creative energy I need to get back to my WIP.
I also learnt the mirroring technique from a travel writing course I did with City College in London. When the words just won't come, I occasionally use this technique to get me moving again.
