I don't really get it, but that's probably because I'm happy to wander about until the next idea comes to me. I'm an impatient person, but I don't set myself hard writing deadlines, as I don't want it to become a chore.

A non-fiction book about artificial intelligence, its promise and peril. Short-term there is the threat of very rapid automation of jobs in many - if not most - industries. Longer term there is the possibility of human-level AI - a conscious machine.
