Benjamin Fife Villains. Villains are delightful, whether they be over the top or subtle & kind of oily. I've also done some different kind of things with alien voices sometimes or robots/ai/si kind of stuff.
Benjamin Fife British, Irish, Cockney & variations thereon. German, & Aussie. Having read to my kids for more than a decade every night before I started professionally narrating, I've used them as my guinea pigs. Since becoming a professional narrator, the two kind of feed off each other. My performances for my kids are wonderful practice for me & the discipline it takes to record an audiobook "perfectly" have helped me polish the performance for them. In years past, I would shy away from doing French accents because... I just don't get french. But this year after reading Murder on the Orient Express to them & giving Poirot a French accent (ok, I know he's Belgian, but I did what I can), my confidence level for it has increased significantly. I LOVE NARRATING! :)

Benjamin Fife Hi Sheila! Glad you loved them. Books 4 & 5 are out now & 6 should be on audible soonish. (She's Writing book 7 - Phoenix: Dragon Knight presently - it combines characters from both Persuasion and P&P)
Benjamin Fife I've just begun on it, and I'm not sure if it will be my first book, or if I'll finish something else first, but my book I'm working on's working title is "Lose the Labels, Save the Planet."
My wife and I have some pretty in depth philosophical conversations, and particularly in light of some of the more political books that I've narrated & am narrating currently, I become more and more convinced that the solution to our problems lies in removing all the boxes we put each other in. Stop Categorizing. And if you really want someone to listen to your message, STOP NAME CALLING.
Probably the best illustration of how this works is from Dr. Who's 50th Anniversary episode: The Day of the Doctor.
Benjamin Fife Recording the last 100 pages of Second Son by Jenelle Schmidt - Book 2 of her AMAZING series The Minstrels Song. My daughter & I will shortly be recording book 3 of Shorty Bean.
Lots more in the works!!! Just finished work on Journey of the Kings - Gary Delfino's dramatic & inspiring interperetation of the travels of the Wise Men. Hoping it will be available in time for Christmas!!!
Benjamin Fife The Rest of the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson.
Northanger Abbey.
Benjamin Fife I'm really liking the world Timothy Zahn has created in his Quadrail Series. Trains... In space. I'd Travel of course! And hopefully not end up with the Modhri in my brain. Of the worlds I've narrated... Tellurae Aquaous by Jenelle Schmidt. I'm itching to finish recording the rest of the series (The Minstrel's Song). Almost through book 2. I sure wouldn't mind stepping into the world of Jane Austen's Dragons either. I'd be a Dragon, of course. :)
