Devyn Leal Plan out the entire story. Plan out all the themes you want to explore, all the settings, all the characters, and all the plot twists but keep it vague enough to add creative touches. I found that to be the best method in avoiding writer's block.
Devyn Leal I'm sitting in the bathroom, hunched over, and gripping my stomach as it turns in knots worse than ever before. I'm alone with no phone, but worst of all ... I'm out of toilet paper.
Devyn Leal I was inspired by traditional storytelling. You know, the kind stories you tell when you're at a sleepover or having a bonfire. The kind that you makeup on the spot and perfect over the years. This book can be looked at as a kind of glorified bedtime story for adults. It was inspired by classic, 'damsel in distress', 'cowboys and Indians' and even 'there's something in your closet' stories. It's just a fun, run-of-the-mill story that's meant to take you on an adventure with no plans for a prequel or sequel.
