Write. Even if it's one sentence a day. Even if it's three words and you don't know what order they're supposed to go in (I stole that from another writer and google is failing me right now). Also, it's okay to take a short break to recharge!

It kind of depends. Sometimes, I just keep writing and it breaks, other times, I start asking "what-if", or, if all else fails, I throw a metaphorical rock at the characters. Making things worse usually kicks my muse in the butt!
