In theory, it would always be some fantastical world where magic is completely real and practiced, and dragons are alive and well. But, the thing is, authors have strange inspirations. One moment you're falling in love, and the next moment your house is set on fire, and half of your family is gone. So I think I'll stay out of any fictional book world for now.

It depends. I preferably like to write everyday. In a perfect world, I would, but I do not try to force my writing. I have also learned that a story has to mean something to me in order for me to really get into it. So, if I'm struggling I take a break. Perhaps the emotion of the scene that I'm currently writing is not something that I'm identifying with easily. If that's the case, I will ask myself what am I identifying with right now and write it down. It may not be part of this story, but perhaps it will be part of another one, or the beginning of a whole new story.

That I get to create. Being able to have a vision, cement it in something, and share it in a way that other's can understand.

Just sit down and write. If nothing comes to you of the top of your head, that's okay, instead look at how you're feeling, your setting, what you're wearing, your hobbies. Characters should feel real and those aspects make them feel that way.

From anything honestly. Sometimes it can be a bit in a movie, a feeling I get from another book, nature is a big inspiration for me, or just how I'm feeling at a certain point of my life.

It's actually a little funny. I was staring outside of a window and my eyes drifted to two palm trees. One was placed at one corner of a lake, and the other was at the other corner, significantly far away. That made me think about people and our distance from one another, families, relationships, etc. I then raced back to my computer and started writing Broken Branches.
