Find groups to join that will be honest with you. Don't just take their advice, grasp it like a lifeline, and follow it. Never take it to heart because they're trying to make you a better writer.

The best thing about being a writer? I can get the ideas out of my head and onto paper. The characters take on a life of their own. Sometime they even wake me up.
