Sue Campbell I love stories about kids who are over-the-top in some way or another. I look the character from my middle grade novel, The Cat, the Cash, the Leap, and the List, and thought about what she might be like at age fifteen.

Sue Campbell You have to show up and sit down. If you're actually sitting down to write, writer's block shouldn't be much of a problem. I'm okay with terrible first drafts, so that helps keep writer's block at bay.
