You have not seen the last of them! I might have a secret or two, but I can share that Meredith is a very important secondary character in my June 2025 novel, A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING. And where Meredith leads, Wit follows. I very much consider this new book a "companion" to TSOBR.

I'm not usually in the habit of answering questions on here these days, but this has been a popular question! Unfortunately, I DO NOT have a book coming out in 2024, and no one is more bummed about that than me. It's always my goal to write books of my heart, and sometimes those take longer to percolate and write. And sometimes, life outside my writing cave gets in the way.
But I DO have two books coming out each year for the foreseeable future, and I'm so excited for you all to read them!

The Tibbles are actually my younger brother and sister (I didn't want to mention them by name)! They aren't twins, but are only 17 months apart and were very mischievous together as children. Arthur was our favorite show, so my parents nicknamed them "The Tibbles."
And let's just say that my uncle calls me "Muffy" every now and again, whenever I dress like I'm going out to dinner at the country club. :)

I have a feeling Taylor Swift is going to find her way into everything I write, but I have three more confirmed Swiftie-inspired books as of now. My next one comes out in 2025 and is a twist on "Speak Now," with a love triangle loosely inspired by our favorite folklore trio.

More than a few people have, and as an incredibly biased author, I agree with them! It's way, way, WAY out of my power, though. Maybe someday!

I went to Night 1 in Philadelphia back in May!

I don't think it's possible for me to choose a favorite (nor would I want to), but I'm really proud of my third book, WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MIDNIGHT. Even though it is based on a true story (thanks, Dad!), it took me the better part of a decade to figure out how to best fictionalize it (there were many attempts), and I am REALLY happy with the finished product.
Favorite book I've read? I'm going to cheat and choose five: IF WE WERE VILLAINS by M.L. Rio, PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION by Emily Henry, THE NIGHT CIRCUS by Erin Morgenstern, ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins, and MY OXFORD YEAR by Julia Whelan.

I've always loved to read, and my English classes were my favorite in school (shocker: I was an English major). My sophomore year of college, I took a fiction-writing workshop on a whim and almost immediately fell in love with it! Somehow, I managed to three manuscripts before I graduated. One of them was my debut, "Maybe Meant To Be."

Speak Now solidified me as a Swiftie when I was 14, but I've been a huge fan of The National for years, so I have to go with Folklore/Evermore (I'm cheating and combining the sisters). It was a dream collaboration for me!

Willy and Birdie are German Shorthaired Pointers, and that breed is absolutely unhinged! Willy is Birdie's biological uncle.

Yes! There are too many stories not to write one someday. The right story just hasn't come to me yet, but it is always in the back of my mind.

My family, friends, our relationships, and places that we love.
And Taylor Swift, of course.

All I will say for now is that it has been written and is inspired by my childhood home, being a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding, and features a new family that I love so very much.

I don't do fan casts! When I was writing Maybe Meant To Be in college, my friend read a draft and when we were discussing the characters, our visuals were totally different. We got into a very silly argument about it, but it has stuck with me! I like the idea that readers have their own Dream Wit and Dream Meredith, and I don't want to burst that bubble. (I do have inspiration on Pinterest, though)

"the 1" was where it all started for Lily and Tag's relationship, but then Midnights came out and I felt like "Mastermind" was written for them! I know "I Can See You (Taylor's Version)" is also another fan favorite, and I love that!

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins!

You bought orange shampoo? I LOVE IT.
As most readers know, TSOBR is partially inspired by Taylor Swift's "Hey Stephen." The song has always been one of my favorites, I always sing along, and I've ALWAYS had a hypothetical personality for the Stephen in the song. To me, he is summer and sunshine and unconditional love and support in human form. There was never a chance Wit would be anything but a pure delight!
You also will find someone. I promise. <3

Thank you! I come from a large, endlessly supportive family (my mother's parents have been together since they were 14 and have 18 grandchildren!) so I wanted to show one on the page. I love mine loads.

I do come from a big family! My mother's parents have been married for 66 years and they have 18 grandchildren. I took some of our dynamics and mixed in friends' family dynamics to create the Foxes!

A line that makes magnetic Michael blush...
