R.J. Rome Writer's block is frustrating, especially if you were on a roll before the fog set in. I think all writer's experience this at some point. For me, I usually try one of these or a combination to get back in the grind. 1. re-read what you wrote before the block to re-inspire the fire that was there. 2. take a break - walk away and give it time, you will find something to inspire the plot to move forward. 3. Bounce ideas off friends and family - sometimes a little encouragement is all I need to put me back in the right frame of mind.
R.J. Rome My best advice for anyone who wants to write is to just start writing. When I first started I didn't think I could do it, but I sat down and started with just a vague idea and quickly the plot formed in my mind. I have several works in progress and they all started the same way, with a small idea that transformed into something big picture. Also, I think the more you read the more you know how you want your writing to sound.
R.J. Rome The idea for Fame: a love story came to me in a dream. I woke up with the idea fresh in my mind and immediately starting typing it in my iphone notes.
