I don't think I've ever had writer's block. I've been a writer for a long time, and it's just something I do everyday. If I did get stuck on one thing, I'd just start working on another project. There are so many things I'd like to write!

Still working on the Small-Town Secrets series! I don't know how many books it will take before I feel like I've run out of stories, but I'm nowhere near done telling the story of this little town. You're going to feel like you grew up there if you stick with me for the journey.

I sit my butt down and do it. You cannot wait for the muse to inspire you. Writing is a job like any other, and a bit of discipline is called for. If you make it a practice to write regularly, you'll find plenty of inspiration.

I grew up in a very small town (currently 170 population!) and understand how small towns work. A lot of people think that big cities are where all the excitement is, but there is plenty going on in a small town, too. I envision Fairview as being everybody's small town. It's a place you can visit no matter where you live, and as the series progresses you'll get to meet lots of the town's residents and you'll get to know the downtown, the hospital, the library and many other parts of town — and everyone's favorite local dive bar, The Clipper.
