R.E. Derouin "Fridys" is the story of a reclusive spinster, writen in her voice. The novel is far different from anything else I've written. Lucille is a combination of a lot of people I've known who slip through life, nearly unnoticed, content, at least they think, with their own quiet life.

R.E. Derouin Read. And, of course, write. Talk to writers too. There are some very good websites that will let you do this. I can recommend FanStory.com as one that is very helpful.

R.E. Derouin The seldom-felt great feeling you get when you finally finish a piece and it sound right.
R.E. Derouin I write every day, at least something. If I'm not doing well with something new, I re-write.
