I'm sorry Jaime, the movie poll is not mine, I just answered it. I think in the original post people can write-in their favorite movies if they are not on the list.

I'm glad I asked. :-) Several things but the latests is:
"The Four Dragons," my new high-fantasy novel will be availabe in 2022, in the meantime here is a teaser for your reading pleasure:
The first dragon was the sea serpent who came when the stormy waters roared with the rage of the Goddess to strike fear in the hearts of the spineless and the lazy.
“I had a dream last night monsignor,” she said. For once, she appeared subdued, uncertain.
He didn’t say anything, his eyes were fixed on the fire, his thoughts, presumably, on his dinner or on his God.
Nonetheles, she persisted: “I dreamed that I stood on a hill from whence I saw an interseccion of four roads, I could hear the summon of the war horns and the cries of the wounded and the dying. The legions marched and their iron heels filled the air like thunder, but I could not see anything because I was blinded by burning blood. Then the great Sea Serpent mother murmured in my ear ‘you must choose,’ and the wardrums echoed her commands.”
“And have you chosen?” he said without taking his eyes of the fire.
“Must I?”
He didn’t answered immediately. When he finally turned to her, he said: “Choosing is only for the Gods, the only choice mortals have is to be obedient.”

Nope, I am not one for horror. I can write satyrical horror though. Let's see: "Right until that moment, I thought it was an unpleasant joke but I went to sleep that night with a feeling of dread that my husband thought was unjustified. I awoke in the morning with a heavy chest, I ran to the TV, put on the morning news: the most horrible-bizarre thing in the world has become true and I felt as if the whole of reality had been turned upside down, Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America."

From my island home, from the world around me, from the news, from the way people speak and how they interact with me an others. From a mindful observation of everything that has crossed my path during the last four years or so.

Write everyday, even if just a 100 words. Observe the world around you; what is simple everyday stuff for you, becomes exotic and magical for somebody living in a different country. Read, read deep, read wide, read what you like, but once in a while challenge yourself with a book out of your comfort zone.

I write almost everyday, I keep an instrospective journal. For ideas I look everywhere, the news, I have bookmarked sites like NASA's webpage and SETI's webpage, I am suscribed to "la biblioteca virtual de Puerto Rico", but most important source of inspiration is people; I'm a dedicated observer of people and I find almost everybody I meet or run into deeply fascinating in their own different ways.

I am finishing some retouching of my book "Lizard-Monkeys and Other Stories", doing a whole lot of marketing, and working on revamping my blog, rantinella.com.

I keep writing. Usually, I don't have writer's block in the sense that I never lack ideas, most times I do have too many ideas. When trouble arises is when I try to find innovative ways of expressing my ideas or when I start to freak out that what I write is too different and nobody would pay attention to it. I then remind myself to write anyway, write lovingly, write freely; usually, those thoughts help a lot.
