Ash Spring Oh, gosh, there are so many choices.... and each of them have their issues. Hm.... does manga count? Because there are a couple of worlds from manga that I think would be fascinating. If manga counts, then the Fullmetal Alchemist universe, to study alchemy and learn how to do it myself. If it doesn't, then... hm. Probably Middle Earth, to the Shire, to happily live out my days as a hobbit.
Ash Spring I'm not very good at horror stories, but I can give it a try...

"In an abandoned building, in an abandoned city in a dead country on a dead planet, there sat an old computer that never turned off. On the screen, two words blinked slowly and repetitively: We failed."
Ash Spring I'm actually aiming to read the entire Throne of Glass series! It'll probably take me more than the summer, because I'm at work most of the day, but that's the goal :)
Ash Spring It varies, really. My mind is incredibly active, and most of the time I don't even know where my ideas have come from. It could be a song lyric, a 'what if x happened instead of y?' moment, or it could be an image that sparks that first little bit of creativity.
Ash Spring Practice, edit, and read.
Your first manuscript is always going to be terrible in hindsight, even if you're incredibly proud of it in the moment. Make sure to do multiple drafts, because that first draft will always have mistakes, and sometimes you won't catch them until much later. Practice is the only thing that can improve a skill, and writing is no different.
Don't forget to edit! Even a friend reading over your work for silly mistakes (like a dropped letter, or a missing word) is better than nothing.
Read. The best thing writers can do is read, because it bulks out your vocabulary and smooths out your writing style.
And if you write, you aren't an 'aspiring writer' - you ARE a writer.
Ash Spring Being able to create. I'm terrible with the visual arts, and I'm not a physically-inclined person, so being able to create something just with my words is fantastic.
Ash Spring I don't.
That's a bad joke, I'm sorry.
I either agonise over the block obsessively, or I go do something else - read, or play mindless games, or work on something else instead. Sometimes it works to get past the block, sometimes it doesn't.
Ash Spring I'm actually working on two projects - I'm in the final few edits for book 2 of the Villainess trilogy, and am working on the first draft of book 3.
Ash Spring I was actually inspired by a prompt I saw on Tumblr. It was something along the lines of "a desperate grad student turns to supervillainy for extra credit", and from there the entire series began.
