Daniel V. Meier Jr. Don't give up writing. You might want to get a job with a paycheck, but don't give up writing.
Daniel V. Meier Jr. The time spent is time enjoyed
Daniel V. Meier Jr. I am currently writing the sequel to The Dung Beetles of Liberia. I became fascinated with the history of Liberia while writing the first book, I wanted to keep the story going. The working title is Blood and Thunder in Liberia as it covers the initial coup d'etat by Sergeant Doe and the subsequent bloodshed. The title could be more appropriate for a third book I have in mind which would be about Charles Taylor's bloody war.
Daniel V. Meier Jr. I had been listening to my friend Les Vipond’s incredible stories of his time in Africa for years. I started writing the book because I didn’t want these experiences and events lost to history. I wanted others to enjoy them. When I started my research, I realized that these events took place during a critical time in Liberia’s history and the society that Les witnessed was a significant predictor of the unrest in its future.
