The inspration for The Isle of Stars came from when I was watching Once upon a time.
Then there was the fact that I wanted it to be different from the other Peter Pan retellings that I've seen and read about.
So I made it into a Rival Kingdom, Turned Hook into a King. Gave him a reckless, bad ass youngest Daughter and threw Pan into the mix with Dark fae powers.
I wanted to have a Tinkerbell. But I made my own.
Tink is Male and Pan's personal Assasin!

Personally How I deal with Writer's block is, I write a fan fiction. You are still writing and getting the words in. But it is less stressful because you already know what the place and characters look like and all you have to do is dive into the writing!

Write the Story, because no one else can tell the story that plays on repeat in your head!
