Each book that I've written thus far, examines family strengths and weaknesses as individuals and as a group. I highlight families and their emotional ups and downs and try to find balance among the primary members.
Friends and associates introduced by each family member bring their uniqueness into the equation. Sometimes newcomers fit, sometimes they don't. Newcomers tend to boost the development of the individual via their influence and further unite or divide the family’s construct.
I decided to try something different in North Jericho Shadow, with the family unit this time. A suspenseful thriller where one of them is being hunted adds intrigue, conspiracy and boldness.

Never underestimate the gift of research. Whether a story is fiction or nonfiction, research cannot be overlooked. Even in fiction, there is some semblance of truth. Research allows for realism in a story. An interview, a news article, observation are considered research.

A writer sees a story in practically everything. They can turn simple things into exciting, amazing, intriguing, and mysterious work. The writer connects the audience with their imagination and allows the world to see what they see.

I have a routine when I write. I use an outline that highlights my subplots. Each subplot is a chapter. I try to write a chapter a day. When I can’t get to my computer, I write out the chapter on the “Notes” section on my iPhone, then email it to myself. I retrieve it when I have the opportunity to sit at my computer. I also do non-writing activities. This helps me to escape what I’m having such a hard time to develop in my story.
