Jessalyn Poret Take a break. Don't get frustrated forcing it out. Try to write a little, enough to keep the juices flowing. Watch or listen to stuff that inspires you. Or read something. What works for me won't work for everyone, but music is a big trigger for me (in a good way). Sometimes that's enough, but other times I have to read a book and take inspiration from that.

It also helps to have a friend (or even an object!) to talk out your issues with. Sometimes I just talk to myself in the shower about an issue I'm having and I resolve it. Sometimes I talk to a friend, who doesn't even have to give me an answer sometimes. Literally talking out can help.

All I can say, as cliché as it might be, is don't give up. It doesn't always come easily, but you have time. It's still your story, it'll still get out there.
