Readers get a chance to know an assortment of characters in the five books of the first series, The Bootleggers' Chronicles. At the end of the series, there are a few interesting and memorable characters that readers have asked to hear more of. One of those is Edith Duffy.
I am currently working on the next series, The Rum Runners Chronicles' where Edith moves to Florida and buys a blind tiger or speakeasy on the coast near Miami. The outlaws there, as well as in the central rum running capitals of Bahamas and Cuba, are dangerous and unforgettable.
The Rum Runners' Chronicles is the story of the rebirth of one woman, from indulged but bored gun moll to successful entrepreneur, running an illegal liquor empire along the East Coast of America. And like the first series, there is also a touch of the paranormal in Edith's story.

Sitting in a great little jazz bar in Bucerias, Mexico. Listening to the music, eating a plate of mussels with a cold glass of white wine, and thinking about what I wanted my fourth career to be. It started with the question- "What do I love to do?" and inspired by the music I decided to write a book about the jazz age.
