I drafted a book earlier this year entitled "Nothing to Nothing : A Googol Year Journey", which is an attempt at covering the entire history of the universe from the big bang 13.7 billion years ago to the dark era a googol years into the future. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Fernando Acosta Barriga The ideas have been emerging as I'm writing, and since you can not write about everything you want in one book, I'm trying to establish a logical order for the things that I'm interested in expressing.

Fernando Acosta Barriga At the moment I am writing and researching on how some of the resources of the Earth allowed us to evolve, create language and culture and ultimately shape the world we know today.

Fernando Acosta Barriga Write about what interests you and what you like, without worrying about what you think others expect from you

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Fernando Acosta Barriga Writing about what you are interested in and/or passionate about allows you to be constantly learning about the things you decide to write as well as about other people. It is something that can never bore you.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Fernando Acosta Barriga The truth is that I have just written two books, so I do not consider myself as someone with the experience/authority to give this kind of advice. However, I dare to say that it is useful to let the book rest for a couple of weeks/a month, ask a friend or someone you trust to make comments and meanwhile do something else before continuing the work.
