Reading. I can't tell you how many times I have to put down a book I'm reading because some disconnected thought has just crossed my mind. The same can't be said of TV or movies, but reading is just quiet enough and imaginative enough to trigger.

There's an amazing sense of accomplishment when you get a book ready to send out into the world--and it overwhelms the terror of letting people see what you've been up to. I like building stories, particularly when the pieces start to click together, sometimes things I didn't even see coming.

Currently working on book 1 in a new trilogy that will be set in modern day, while at the same time gathering plot points for Arcane History book 5, which is aimed at spring 2021.

All the way back in book 1, I knew there'd be questions about who trapped the gods, so it has been percolating for quite some time with little hints being laid in as we went. The memory aspect came as more of a surprise, but it follows the Arcane History series' focus on consequences. If you do something, you can't always predict what the fallout will be.
