Jess Heileman I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I didn't plan on a book for Sarah or Ruth, but I'll never say never. Both of them would be such fun heroines of their own story!
Jess Heileman Hello! Three years delayed. Sorry about that. I didn't see this until now. I'm sure you've written a beautiful and unique story by this point, but in case you're still working on it (or possibly others), the only advice I have is to trust yourself and trust your story. I will nuance this by saying that I'm a panster, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I don't stress too much about story devices and plot structure until the story is out. Sometimes, I'll go back through my story once it's complete and compare it to Save the Cat or another plotting structure just to see how it aligns, and it almost always falls within the parameters. Story is ingrained in us, so if you have a story inside you, trust it. And trust yourself to tell it how it's supposed to be told. ;)
