Just start. That's the hardest part. Read, jot down notes, make a framework for our story. Read similar books by authors you admire. Don't just read for enjoyment, study how they write. What is the flow of the story like? How do they use dialogue? How do they develop their characters? Read to pick it apart and study it. Then apply what you learn to your own work.

Stone-age Europe through Iron-age pre-Roman Europe. I am fascinated by the many different cultures that traveled through and settled in that area, Germanic and Celtic migrations and civilizations. Technologies of the time, and their way of life. In my books, I try to capture real history, fill in the blanks with fiction, while my characters acknowledge the fact that while we are very different today, humans are still very much the same when it comes to strengths and weaknesses, desires and goals, love and hate, etc.

I was stationed in Germany in the 1990s when this true story first came to my attention. For twenty years it was a passion of mine to learn more about this fascinating story and the people involved. A few years ago I decided that I would like to share this story and began writing the series. This is the first of four planned books.
