I like that one. I like all of them. I write stories I want to read - and I do read my own books.
I would love to continue that adventure. We'll see. I hope you get to read the next part. Thanks for reading my books!

As soon as I stop writing and spend the time to do the tedious work of editing, proofing, and production. It takes time. But I'm so glad you are excited to read yet another of my stories! Thank you!
Marilyn Foxworthy
Because they don't have my voice. They don't know the world in my head. It hasn't worked for me in the past.
Marilyn Foxworthy
OK, yeah, those need to be fixed. Someday, I hope to do a complete rewrite of the Nogud Legacy. But that's half a million words. It will take a very long time, and truthfully, I'd rather be writing something new. I want to fix every error in every book - and I want to tell more enjoyable adventures. There is a conflict there.
Marilyn Foxworthy
Well, yes, there very well may be. But the way I write, I can't say when. Some are in process right now. Others are waiting for inspiration or for their chance at the top of the list. There will be more Shrine Maidens, more Sturgil's Mark, more about Tom and the sea pirates, more Accidental Quantum Wormholes, and always more Honest Attractions.
Marilyn Foxworthy
I certainly intend to. In fact, the first book is being reedited right now, and an updated version should be available shortly. That gives me a chance to refamiliarize myself with the story and possibly start book 2.
Marilyn Foxworthy
I do not know that one. Is it the one you are writing?
Marilyn Foxworthy
I think so, too, but my writing schedule has several other projects closer to the top. But we will go back!
Marilyn Foxworthy
There absolutely is! The fourth book is started, but it might be a while before I finish it. Hang in there. It might be a while.

(view spoiler)[Just finished the latest Quantum Wormhole story, well, I guess the other was a Quantum Rabbit Hole, but, then, this one didn't have any rabbits in it (although I did notice you snuck in a Scooter reference - guess what I just finished reading for the 5th or 8th or something time).
Just for your reference, I noticed three typos and an extra period in the middle of a sentence; look for: beasts, tie, Roes, & "but."? (hide spoiler)]

Thank you! I appreciate it. I'll take a look.

Squeaker is apparently a teasing nickname used by Skipper's twin Chip. But there is a typo: Chip calls Skipper Squeeker not Squeaker at other times.
And the other one... I am not sure. I'll look into it. Thank you.

Thank you, Steve. These will be fixed in the next revision. I appreciate it.
It's difficult to find these from page numbers alone because of how Kindle reports pages. It helps if I have a few words of context to search for. I can't find what word should be "from" in chapter 8, for instance. If I had a partial sentence, it would make it much easier.
I've been able to find all the others. Thank you. Send me a private message when you find these and I'll do an edit. Best wishes.

Thank you. A new Honest Attractions book is available now. Tremors Art and Coffee.
Marilyn Foxworthy
It seems like they are picking them up, but sometimes takes several days. Tremors Art and Coffee is just 3 days old. Thanks for reading it!

Ah, the "sort by publication year" doesn't seem to, well, sort by publication year. Strange. It's been showing me Ward and Estate as the "newest" for a while, and I didn't think to go back to the previous page.
Anyway, I'm ten chapters in, in a scene that in a way I lived through years and years ago, and the coffee shop in the title rings back to an earlier book in the series if I recall correctly. ...more

The next books, probably coming in January are Honest Attractions. But there are many more in the works.

Hello! The Amazon Author page gives a way to follow me on Amazon. No email address though. Goodreads is a better way. Following me here gets you notices of new blog posts, etc. And for direct messages, Goodreads is best as well. Just send a direct private message between Goodreads users.

Hi, Joel. No, I don't have a release schedule. I have a few new Honest Attractions coming, and then a book related to the Guardian Maidens. I do want to finish sequels for all of the ones you mentioned, but there's no schedule. I'm glad you enjoy them.

(view spoiler)[I've read around 30 of your books. This maybe a off-topic question: I'm wondering about the underlying "Political philosophy" which appears in your books. It seems to imply that liberal views lead to bad results [the "cannables" of Portland], that Libertarian Capitalists are good, and only certain "deviations" are acceptable. Care to comment? (hide spoiler)]
Marilyn Foxworthy
Wow, Joel, I wasn't aware of that being in my books. The cannibals weren't meant to represent any particular aspect of Portland at all. It wasn't meant as any political commentary. I also wasn't aware of any economic ideology. I think Joshua felt that bad people suck and compassionate people rock. I'm not sure what liberal views led to bad results in the books. In The Nogud, it was a breakdown of civilization caused by a global cataclysm. And yeah, the cannibals are bad. And in The Dark Atoll, the coaches were bad. So... I don't think I intended any underlying political philosophy beyond "be excellent to each other." Thank you for asking.

Your writing style is somewhat like Robert Heinlein who was himself a "Nudist" and some of his later "Libertarian" SF had similar motifs as your books. He seems to have gotten a bad reputation among those who choose not to understand the point he was making. The director of "Starshio Troopers" turned the book into a farce making Heinlein's book like it is a comedy which it is not.
Your books do seem to have allegorical meanings and maybe some of them you didn't mean. As you have moved along your writing path your expression of ideas have matured but in the Nogud and Girls on the hill you have said things about the characters that don't seem to ring true. "Loving your sister-wives but only because of the man in the marriage." Does love have a right gender? or does as Heinlein expressed in "Time Enough for Love" that love has no real boundaries. Any whereand shared with anyone is love.
I'm glad you've written about Burrough's Barsoom. I read those books when I was twelve (57 years ago--Yikes!) and periodically since then. I look forward to when you get back to "nogud, girls, snd barsoom." Kind regards. ...more

Therre was a ... hiccup. I tried to post an alternate cover for the new book. One with a racier over, just for contributors. I accidentally crossed a line on content guidelines. They put my ko-fi page in a moderated restricted state until it was fixed. It may take a few days. Thank you for asking!

The Ko-Fi page is back, Eddie Topper at the Well of Souls is downloaded, and there's a new cover on The Cave Girl!! Awesome start to the week!
