How many questions do you get? My answer is, "yes." J/K
Which scene was hardest to write?
Melissa's past with her mother, who was banished from the order. I built up the drama so much that I was afraid I didn't have the creativity to fulfill the suspense, but it worked out beautifully.
Are there only three books (to the Scarlet Reign Series)? NO
There are four. They are all mapped out and interconnect.
Have you begun writing the third book? Yes!
Barely. But the treatment is complete, and I often review the entire book in my mind, scene by scene on long walks, really long walks.
Will there be a prequel or spinoff? Yes and yes.
I have mapped out a spinoff that should interconnect and supplement very well. I have also left open several arenas to prequels, which I have not begun to develop yet.
How many unpublished/unfinished books do you have?
Including this one I'm writing back to you? I have one finished outside of the Scarlet Reign series and several about a quarter of the way through from different genres.
Thank you for your dedicated quest to know more. I hope I have answered all your questions. No, really, I hope I have answered all your questions. If you can't tell, I like to have fun with writing, and I hope it shows in my stories.

Even I think this is unbelievable. I just said I wanted to write something in this genre and within an hour I had the first chapter, with no idea of what I was going to do and no direction. When I looked at it, I was dumbfounded as to how well it turned out. From there it just grew and grew from the end to the beginning. That's how my mind works; it just continually feeds the ideas - mostly in the shower when I can't write them down.

It helps that I enjoy writing and treat it as a hobby. Music and long walks help, but I've always felt a need to help others. As a psychotherapist, I have learned that people learn well through experiences and mistakes, and I believe that we can grow via stories of other people's experiences and mistakes, which is why my characters begin with so many flaws. The belief that I can help people in mass, motivates me to collaborate my ideas, which are plentiful.

Currently, everything. I have about ten ideas I continue to work on. Each project takes years to develop and I piece them together mainly in my head until there is enough to write a treatment. Unfortunately, I already have about ten treatments outside of the Scarlet Reign book series and more continue to come.
Immediately, Scarlet Reign: Call for Independence. It is written but must be revised before I can send it to editing.

Never stop writing. If you truly love it, it will come! I've walked away and come back so many times, but I always come back. If it's more like work than a hobby, then it's okay to take a break. Do it because you enjoy it and you'll be fine.

I get to end the story my way! I'm tired of fizzled out endings and disingenuous plots.

Never had it, hope I don't get it! My mind doesn't stop, which is more like a curse. I literally have too many ideas to write down. Many ideas have never been written down and have been sitting in my head for years.
