I am 75% finished with reading Kat, and its SO MUCH better than I expected it to be... not an insult, by the way, I just expected a run of the mill mystery. You've made me cry, and laugh, and cry. I'm mad I have hockey tickets tonight because I want to finish it! And you're doing a sequel?
K.L. MacRae Hi! I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying Kat :) The good news is that, yes, there is a sequel. It's called 'Dig Three Graves' and was published just a couple of weeks ago. All being well, there will be a third Kat Farthing book too, but probably not until later this year.
I hope the hockey is good!

How do you get inspired to write?
K.L. MacRae Weird, but true: I get most of my ideas when I'm trying to get to sleep or when I've woken up but am too lazy (or tired) to get up so I'm just lying there, all warm and snuggly, daydreaming. It seems being horizontal works, for me at least :)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
K.L. MacRae The idea for Kat came from a dream. I literally woke up with the sentence, "I didn't mean to kill X, but what the hell did he expect, sneaking up on a girl like that?" ringing in my head. For those of you who know who X is, you can see why it begged explanation!

What are you currently working on?
K.L. MacRae I'm currently taking a short break after finishing the Aura Shaper fantasy trilogy then I'll be making a start on the follow up to Kat.
