H.D.A. Pratt I deal by picking a book and reading. The only way for me to get past it is to let it pass in the amount of time it is around. Picking up a pen or speaking into my phone or typing usually get the block to vanish. The moment I start writing the block disappears and the story flows through my mind.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

H.D.A. Pratt The best thing is that I get to create all the worlds I wish... and the places filled with magic that come from within me. These Stories and journeys I have created are ones which I would love to live out, just like when I read a book and fall into its world, I feel just the same when writing a book.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

H.D.A. Pratt The best advice I think I can give anyone wanting to write a book is just do it. All the time you take over thinking it or wishing you had will be a waste if you don’t just do it... give it a go and write a story you want to read... your the one that will have to read it more than anyone after all.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

H.D.A. Pratt The Sleepless Night Creature can from my love of vampires and what I want to get from them. I love a darker side of them, one that means night time is a place they live because of the secrets hid around every corner.
