Everley Strong Take breaks. It took 2 years for me to write this, let my husband read it, edit it, then put it out there into the world. Give yourself a nice relaxing break then reread and brainstorm.
Everley Strong I'm not sure I would call myself a writer yet. I wrote something and published it, sure, but I still don't think I'd call myself a writer yet. It hasn't sunk in, I think.
Everley Strong Just write it. Do it. Even if it's awful. I thought Slumbersexual was the worst thing I'd ever written until my husband read it and said I needed to publish it. Write it, get it finished, then change what doesn't work. You can do it!
Everley Strong Right now I'm just working on getting my book out there and gathering feedback. I want to learn what is working and not working so I can improve for next time. Next, I think I'd like to try a modern day retelling of my favorite book: Pride and Prejudice.
Everley Strong Everything inspires me. I just get little ideas, whether it be topics that come up, character traits, or ways of speaking. It's putting it together that's challenging for me, hence the novella.
