I have always been fascinated by Phoenixes. How powerful they are and how even after burnt their life isn't over.
Over course of time, I've written about various themes ranging from rape, sexual assault, child abuse, ragging, equality etc.
One day, this idea just struck why not compile all these poems into one book. Why not encourage people to be strong, to overcome their struggles and complexex and come out stronger than before... Just like a Phoenix. So this is how my book, "Born From The Ashes" came into existence.

I find inspiration in the most simplest of things and in the most complex ones. I write about what I see around me. Any incident, any being, even any inanimate can inspire me to write at the right moment. My work is often a reflection of society.

Presently, I'm working on my romance/suspense novel and hope to publish it sometime next year. Apart from that, I write poetry as and when inspiration strikes, which is often daily.

Do not set deadlines. Deadlines do more damage than they do good. Just keep writing, for yourself, not for fame, for people to read you but because you enjoy writing. Eventually you will find your place.

I believe that as a writer I hold a certain degree of power which I must use very responsibly. The best thing about being a writer is how I can use this power to make a change in this world, do my share in making it a better place.

Writer's block is such a bane to writers all over the world. But often I have been surprised by how refreshing my work turns out to be once I overcome it. I look for writing challenges, writing prompts and when even they don't seem to work, I simply wait it out.
