Hey Barbara! They aren't all doxies but 7 of the 15 are. #:0) We also have 2 Great Danes, three cattle dog mixes, one chirat ( chihuahua rat terrier mix), one pitty mix, and one big loveable retriever mix.
All but 2 were rescues. We adopted Wally (dachshund) and Lana (cattle dog/ terrier mix) when they were puppies. They all make my life crazy, busy and fun and I'm so glad I have them.
Do you have any pets?

Depends on who you ask. The ones with fur would say they own a couple of humans. Most days I agree.
The most we've ever had at once was 5 dogs & 2 cats Depends on who you ask. The ones with fur would say they own a couple of humans. Most days I agree.
The most we've ever had at once was 5 dogs & 2 cats, plus birds & squirrels. And that felt like a full time job. We are down to 1 dog & 2 cats. Life would be so empty without them.
We had a mini doxi we rescued at age 9. She was so bad, & so stubborn, She would potty on the floor if we went out without her. But good lord she was so full of love! Saying good-bye never gets easier.
Just one question. How do walk so many dogs? Just let them out in the yard? ...more

Yep, we fence in our property so they can all go out and run. I try to take the ones who enjoy it the most for walks with me when I go. The older ones

Set goals you can reach in your writing/publishing and then stay focused on them through all the noise you'll encounter. Avoid negative vibes and people, they'll drain your creative will. And write what you're passionate about rather than what you think you should write. If you don't have a passion for what you write, your readers will know and they won't love it either. Good luck! It's a challenging but very rewarding path, and I know you'll rock it! xx

I'd actually prefer Amazon if we can figure out how to get them to show up. #:0) Those reviews give readers some insight into the quality of the book so they're more willing to take a chance on it. Thanks for your support. It means the world to me. xx

Hey Karen,
Sure, that would be great. Unfortunately the ones you posted on Amazon still aren't showing. Sigh... I have no idea why that happens but I've had readers who've had to post a review several times before it showed up. I wish I could figure out why so I could tell you but I have no idea. Gremlins? #:0)

Hey Karen! I'm so glad you're enjoying my books. That makes me very happy. #:0) Are you talking about leaving reviews on Amazon? Or on another site? On Amazon you just go to the book's page, scroll down to the reviews section and click the big gray box that says "Write a customer review". Respond to the first question they provide (Author's writing) and the rest of the questions and the review box will drop down for you to complete. Easy peasy. I hope that helps. xx

It is! The Fever books are based on Honeybun cousins. The Heat books are limited to the 8 Honeybun brothers. It's one of the reasons I will probably still write more Fever books but may not write more Heat books. With families as large as the Honeybuns have, the potential number of cousins can be vast! LOL Thanks so much for asking!
Sam Cheever
Karlee, right now I don't have any specific plans to write more books in the Heat series. I'm sensitive to jumping the shark on a series and eight books is a good number in my opinion. But like anything else, if I get enough reader interest in more books I may write more. Thanks so much for reading!
Sam Cheever
The answer to this question is a definite maybe, Karlee. #:0) I'd love to write more Astra and Dialle books if I think the reader interest is there for them. I'll make that determination over the next few months. Thanks so much for asking! xo

Hey Eileen!
This is a really good time to ask me that question... LOL. I just sent my editor a Christmas Honeybun Novel, finally earning myself a rest from a pretty aggressive writing schedule I initiated last Summer. I think I've written almost 90k in the last three months. #:0) So for the next week I'll probably spend my time catching up on blog posts and other stuff I haven't had time for. But then...
My 2015 writing plan contains the following:
Finish book 2 of my Earth Fairies YA series.
Finish a fun paranormal about a fallen angel that I've been shoving to the back burner for a couple of years.
Start a paranormal novella for April/May release, multi-author box set
Start book 5 of my Hoale Construction Mystery series (MM - Written as Declan Sands)
Start book 8 and the final book of my Honeybun Heat series for release June-ish
I'm sure there's more, but I'm pretending there isn't or I might combust. LOL Thanks for the fun question!

Great question, LaVida! Names are kind of my thing, actually. I love using different, fun-sounding names in my books but there's always a reason behind their use. If you look at a baby names book you'll find the origination of the name as well as its meanings. I use this information to pick the perfect name for each of my characters. In the case of the Honeybuns, I wanted something that would stand out in a sea of book titles. Then I was able to give each book a fun title that reflected their story. Alastair Honeybun, the hero from Book 1: A Honeybun and Coffee, is actually a real guy's name. :D I saw the name online and I was hooked. That gave me the idea of giving each of the Honeybun brothers a strange, old English type first name and it's been a ton of fun. These guys are big enough to survive the names and keep their sense of humor about it. You've got to love that!
