I am currently working on Burn the Bone, book two in the Newborn City Series. It focuses on Dimitri, Ciaran's best friend from the first book and a powerful demon, and Red, the fire demon from the Inferno. After years apart, and denying their connection, Red is forced back into Dimitri's life when she's wanted for murder.

Affinity for Pain, oddly enough, was loosely based on a dream. I had the images of a woman who could feel her lovers pain haunting me for days until I finally started writing the story down. I started with the first scene in the book and Hope sort of developed herself as the words came out. She was a hitwoman right from the get-go but I didn't even realize it until I started writing that first scene. Ciaran was the perfect match for her and walked into my head and claimed her as soon as she'd run away after almost killing him.
