Brooklyn Graham It was only minutes before that she had witnessed the most horrendous act of violence, and it still hung in her memory like a vulture skulking in a tree. Now, only minutes later, she was running; from what she had no idea, but whatever had been lurking in the shadows only moments before, now pursued her in a vicious torrent of speed and cunning.
Brooklyn Graham I think, because of my own history there, and because it is quite possibly the most enthralling series I have ever read, I would visit and live in the world of "Provincetown Tales" by Radclyffe. I think I would be thrilled to be included in one of Radclyffe's love trysts, and just to get a glimpse of Reese Conlon might just stop my heart entirely.
Brooklyn Graham Having just finished "A Matter of Trust" by Radclyffe, I am seriously temped to revisit the Justice Series. As of right now I am starting "Secrets in the Stone" by the same author, and am intending to read "Fear of Falling" by Georgia Beers. I am anxiously awaiting the next book from my very favorite author Cari Hunter called "Breathe".
Brooklyn Graham Sometimes, the words just don't come. Take a walk, go for a run or a ride, talk with people. Never force words onto a page simply because the idea is not solid in your mind. Allow yourself to time to forge the idea so it simply flows from your mind and onto the page. There are many, many papers and works devoted to just this subject, but my theory is, just step away and return with a different mindset.
Brooklyn Graham When I finish a book, the greatest joy is to know that I have expressed my feelings in that work, and that others will come away feeling the same way as I did writing it. In today's complex market of self publishing, and electronic media, it has become more and more difficult to publish, and easier. Try never to look at the success of a novel, by how it performs; rather, enjoy it for what it is, a part of you.
Brooklyn Graham Writing is something that you either need to do, or not. If you have the calling, you will write, no matter what. My advice to any aspiring author is write what you know, write every day, and stay real. Some of the best novels and stories I have read are grounded in everyday occurrences and relationships. Try and find a place where you can be at peace, a sanctuary if you will. This space should be for writing, and only for writing. Good luck.
Brooklyn Graham I am working on my second book, geared more to an adult readership, although I love young adult and teen fiction. The title will be Eagle Ridge, and explores the relationship between two very different women, thrown together in unusual circumstances. It is a story of rejuvenation, re-examination, and reflection, and love, blossoming between two broken hearts.
Brooklyn Graham I love to write, always have. I have not had the time to really delve into my passion until recently however. I need to write, it is not a question of wanting to. I set aside a certain time each day for ideas or actual writing, and stick to that schedule. I am inspired by the people I love, my partner, and stories or experiences I am privy to.
Brooklyn Graham Ivy Hall was inspired by a conversation I had with a close friend. The book is not biographical, and a complete work of fiction, although it does contain elements of truth.
