Tai Le Grice My whole life provides inspiration for my stories, especially in that the greater part of my early years, childhood to middle-age, in many respects is a mystery. I have huge holes in my memory and often wonder what parts of my 'memories' are truth and what parts are nightmare.
Tai Le Grice An RP (role-play) which, in actual fact, led to a bit of a breakdown for me. I was new to the concept of RP and had no idea how to manage the implications so the new WIP is a way for me to process the results of that unexpected emotional journey.
Tai Le Grice Stories, characters, and scenes come at me and DEMAND to be written. It becomes an overpowering and undeniable urge and I'm often left with not enough energy to carry out the demand of the story rather than being left short of a story to write.
Tai Le Grice The edit of my next-to-be-released LGBT and a WIP which has yet to clarify itself.
Tai Le Grice The moment you begin to write, you are no longer an aspiring writer, you ARE a writer. So write. Don't just think about writing: WRITE.
Learn, study. Writing is like any other skill or craft and you're not inherently born a 'good' writer, regardless of how much talent you might have. Don't think you're cheating by utilizing every possible resource to improve your skills and there are PLENTY, from books to YouTube channels to writing forums and communities and more.
Tai Le Grice Being able to share my worlds, my people, my thoughts, and my knowledge with others. Writing is freedom.
Tai Le Grice I travel into every fictional world I write and become each and every character so that I can write accurately for them. The worlds I write are my worlds, not only while I'm writing them but forever and I can enter them at will.
Tai Le Grice I turn on my favorite Playlist, sit in my favorite chair, close my eyes, and 'become' the story. Eventually, it comes to me.
Tai Le Grice I wake up and the stories have disappeared from my mind. I can no longer write!
Tai Le Grice For 2021, I'm currently reading Ash Knight's 'The Gravity of Shooting Stars' and am eagerly awaiting the release of the next installments in Halo Scot's 'Rift Wars' series.
I have to admit I'm also doing a quiet re-read of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings behind the scenes, too.
