My inspiration came through on a mountain climb where I discovered a cave that has been used by the indigenous people of the area for ceremonial use for centuries. As I lay inside, in the center of this cavern I was told to write this book and given the name. I asked why this book was so important and I was told, "we are losing our old ways, Mother Earth is suffering, you must share these tales with the children, for they are our only hope."
