The best thing about being a writer is I get to encounter different circumstances, different personalities, a total different world from my reality. I get so immersed in my stories that I literally feel like I'm there. There's nothing else I can think of in life where that is possible.

To deal with writer's block, I usually step away from my desk and do an errand or chore. Then, when I'm done, I can usually overcome the block and start writing again.

I get inspired to write by seeing others follow their dreams. People should follow their dreams and not worry about what others will say about it. I also get inspired by other writers, reading wonderful works and wanting to do the same.

My most recent book, "If Only You Were Gone," contains a lot of situations that are relevant to my life. The main character's parents are based on my real parents. The best friend is based on someone who is important in my life. The main character's likes and interests are very similar to mine, as well.
