I'm about two-thirds done with the first draft of Book #2 in the Fenway Stevenson Mystery series. I've also got a series of techno-thriller novellas in the hopper that I'm working on with a collaborator.

My wife was taking classes in biology and physiology, and we started looking at all the different careers available. It turns out that county coroners have a crazy amount of expectations and requirements—or lack thereof. An idea to tell a murder mystery, featuring a young nurse-turned-coroner named Fenway was hatched. I had her first name, I knew her estranged father would be rich, and I knew who the murderer was. That was it!
