What are you currently working on?
Melissa Franckowiak A historical fiction novel about Deborah Read, the common law wife of Benjamin Franklin. As a woman who has been active in STEM fields, I followed the life of scientist, inventor and author Ben Franklin's history. However, Deborah was instrumental to his success.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Melissa Franckowiak Being able to work on something entirely novel, no pun intended. It's never the same. This is both frustrating and rewarding. You're your own manager. No one else can write your story but you.

Melissa Franckowiak Take me to the Ewok Village. So cuddly and cute.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Melissa Franckowiak I recently travelled to Hawaii and would like to go back there in the book: Molokai.
I'm also reading about the life if Samuel Beckett, Irish Nobel Winning author and playwright.
