Right now I'm writing the final book in the Fox River Romance series! It's hard to say goodbye. Claiming Grace is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, with a satisfying ending, and I can't wait to share it with you!

The idea behind The Chapel (my next release in early 2020) came from my real life. My husband and I have often daydreamed about transforming an old church into a music venue. The beauty. The acoustics! Playing on that, I wrote a story about an unlikely duo - paired by a mutual friend - who end up working together on the project. It's fun to write the banter between frenemies! Throw in a church cat, troublesome siblings, and a pesky winery rep, and you've got a good uphill battle before falling in love.

Write. Sit down, don't worry if it comes out gibberish, and write. It's the idea that water won't flow if you don't turn on the faucet (I forget who said that). Also, don't try to write what you think people want to read. I have to pretend no one will ever read my work, otherwise I'd get wrapped up in worrying about what people think. My writing is personal, and for me to get to a place of putting that into words, I can't think past myself and my document.

I think I'd lose my mind if I didn't write. I've been staying home with my kids for 14+ years. I adore my children, smart and stubborn as they are, but it became a necessity to have something for me. I started writing, playing with ideas, and finding my voice. It's taken some years to complete a manuscript, get it ready to submit, and find a wonderful publisher. My first book, The Guilt of a Sparrow, is personal to me touching on many issues I've dealt with in my life, and that I think others can relate to as well.
