I write.
Or... I don't write.
I have tried both. Both have worked. Both have not worked.
Seriously though, my last bout of writer's block lasted a good long while. I finally realized that I wasn't blocked. I was stuck. I wasn't quite ready to write about the last thing I had written about. Before I could write again, I had to spend time processing what was preventing me from being able to write about the thing that had me stuck. Once I did, the floodgates of writing opened up again.
Or... I don't write.

I am working on another memoir that picks up where Scars and Stilettos leaves off. It details my continued healing journey as I faced faith-rattling loss and disappointment. In it, I will share the struggles I dealt with in my previous marriage that ultimately lead to divorce. I will show that while we may not be able to prevent pain caused by the actions and addictions of others, we can choose a path that will lead to healing, freedom and restoration.

I wrote my story because I want people to understand the realities of the commercial sex industry and sexual exploitation. I want them to see the humanity in the woman on the other end of the dollar. And I want to show people that healing and freedom are possible and our pain can be turned into purpose!
