I can't say I have ever experienced that. I do plan on writing a science fiction novel at some point, and if that happens, it may be that I may, lol. But, that particular book is already being written in my head, and the elements of the story-line are continually being thought of. So I am hoping that, just like with "The Magnitude of the Cross," when I do sit down to write it all I will have to do is put the elements together.

In my case, the goal is to glorify Christ, and if, as a writer, I can reach more people...that the best thing.

Not that I am one to give advice on writing, lol. For me, writing about the Bible is my passion, so I would have to say whatever one's passion is...follow it. When it comes to Bible Study, there are three key words: study, study, and study. I don't think that would be any different for any genre. As a reader, I want to know that the Author knows what he is talking about. So be expert in whatever field it is you wish to write on. Research the elements of your story. Usually when we are familiar with something we can usually talk about it with ease, and that is how I see a good story flowing.

I am hoping to make "The Magnitude of the Cross" a series, and the next book will be "The Magnitude of the Cross: Understanding Eternal Security." Again we have to deal with misconceptions about salvation in Christ, and the indoctrination many go through after being saved. If you are saved in a fellowship that teaches loss of salvation, you are probably going to trust your leadership and then go to Scripture seeking to proof-text what you have been told is true. So too with those saved in fellowships that teach Eternal Security, most could not, from Scripture, teach it themselves. This will sound a little harsh, but I think many people fail to develop a faith of their own, instead...they adopt the faith of their leadership. And that is not absolutely contrary to growing in the Faith, but, there comes a point when we are to begin "feeding" ourselves. We must learn the basics of proper interpretation and rely on God as our Teacher. And just as with "The Magnitude of the Cross: Understanding the New Birth," my hope is that believers will be able to build a stronger faith in Christ and in His Word.

Writing was my childhood dream, but only in recent years have I felt compelled to publish. The primary goal of this book is to shake up the Theological norm, and to get people thinking for themselves. I have for years spent time on forums in an effort to help people better understand the Bible, and so my hope is that this book will get the notice of Christians on a larger scale.

This answer contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I am a fervent Bible student and spend quite a bit of time on Forums discussing and debating Doctrine. Not long after I was saved I realized I was telling people they needed to be born again and didn't actually understand it very well. That began years of study and debate in an attempt to understand Regeneration (new birth) from a Scriptural perspective. My views are going to seem controversial to the popular teachings of Modern Theology, but, the truths outlined in the book have been tested and have stood against criticism. I have yet to find the first indication of Regeneration in the Old Testament Economies or the first person who can deny those simple truths which show men were not born again prior to the Cross of Christ. And in that I saw the magnitude of the Cross, and just how significant Christ coming to die in the stead of the sinner was. (hide spoiler)]
