Keep writing! The way I see it, it would be better to spend an hour writing something that ultimately doesn't make it into the final draft than to spend that same hour wringing my hands about what I should write. The act of actually writing something - even if it's not that great - keeps the creative process flowing and can generate new ideas and perspectives to enliven the work.

I'm currently working on a non-fiction adaptation of my doctoral dissertation, "Imagination in the Wester Psyche: From Ancient Greece to Modern Neuroscience" which will be published by Routledge later this year.
Once I've sent them the manuscript, I'll be getting back to my science fiction universe, working on the third book in the Song of Ancients trilogy as well as a number of short stories and novellas that give more backstory to the main narrative.
