I'm so excited to introduce some very interesting and important characters in the next book! I think they will really bring a different energy and give both of the books a unique feel. A lot of minor characters will be making reappearances as well.

Currently working on the sequel to The Violet Theory, which is titled "When the Blackbird Sings." It's really exciting to be able to explore a darker side of this world while bringing in more comic relief as well. Over the last few months I have learned that there is a lot more pressure put on writing a sequel, because people are expecting it and asking about it constantly. It's been difficult to write, but I'm so excited to reunite with my characters and continue Mavis and the rest of the crew's story!

Take a deep breath and step away from your work. Instead of forcing yourself to write, dedicate your time to things that have successfully given you inspiration in the past. I recommend reading, listening to music, or going for a walk outside. Sometimes time away from your work will allow your mind to calm down and refresh.
