The fictional book world I would love to travel to would be Pern, by Anne McCaffrey. I first read her books when I was in my twenties and the world just seemed magical to me and so real.

I've been reading a wide variety of books this summer. Ghost Talkers by Mary Robinette Kowal, The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton, A Murder in Time and A Twist in Time by Julie McElwain, When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton and Harvest by Tess Gerritsen. Right now I am reading The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer. All great reads.

There is something about sharing my imagination that really makes me happy. I have enjoyed writing stories since I was a little kid. I wrote a lot of stories about horses, because I was crazy about them. I loved being read to when I was young and really enjoyed reading to my kids. Writing my stories down and sharing them with the world is really satisfying.

That is a tough one. I have gone very long, dry periods where I did not write at all and then when I went back to it I felt like I was starting from the very beginning. That was frustrating and I ended up reading my book over and over. When I did start reading what I had done it gave me a boost and then I would start again. The only thing I can say is to just write every day or work on something that involves being creative every day even if you don't feel like it and hopefully you won't experience writer's block.

Write, write, write, write. That's all I can say. Every author I talk to says the same thing. The more you write the better you get. The story that you are writing right now might not be the one that you publish but the practice is helpful to finally get where you want to go.

I am currently editing the second book, A Poor Man's Truce. I hope to have that done in the next two weeks and the cover done by the end of February, beginning of March. It will continue with Darec and Elieana's search and will again follow Jacq and Carlotte. I'm excited about this next one.

I wanted to write so just started writing. The book started out differently in the beginning and then evolved. It seemed like the characters led me where they wanted to go.
