Sometimes I'm able to push through it!! I just put on some good music (spotify usually) and try to get in the flow. Push yourself forward, don't look back, edit later! Just a few words at a time. Try not to look at your word count. Focus on your outline! I hated outlines for the longest time, but they are such an amazing tool. I just use a basic bullet point list, but I have so many documents where I talk about different areas of my world to help me flesh out motivations, etc.
But when I really just can't get through it, I give myself the space to do something else. Play video games, watch something, go on a long walk. I try to give myself permission to take long breaks, too. Don't be too hard on yourself! It's not a race, and your health comes first.

Ahaha, oh man... Let's see.
Maggie would probably be played by Lauren Ambrose.
Basil might be John Patrick Amedori. Or Daniel Henney? It's open to interpretation, honestly... lmao.
Tom would be..buff Ryan Gosling? LOL. I always imagine my characters as illustrations so it's hard to put a real face to them.
Bea could be Nina Dobrev and Canton might be...Joseph Gordon-Levitt?? Hahahaha. I'm being very generous. These are all from quick IMDB searches, so this could all change.

Witch in the Lighthouse was first inspired by art done by Heikala, a Finnish artist I greatly admire. I wanted to make a witch character of my own, and slowly but surely Magnolia was created, and the story built from there. I also grew up around a lighthouse, so the imagery has always kind of sat with me.
