Tessonja Odette At this time, I plan for the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series to be 3 books total. However, since it is a series of standalones, it will remain open ended (like my Entangled with Fae series) in case I want to write more in the series in the future :)
Tessonja Odette Great question! My Faerwyvae books are loosely inspired by the Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian eras with lots of liberties taken in how I combine them, as well as borrowing bits and pieces from other eras as well.
Tessonja Odette My favorite to write was A Taste of Poison. It was just such a fun story with lots of moments that made me laugh (or cry!) while writing, and really satisfied my creative muse.
Tessonja Odette Aladdin has been on my radar for a while, so that's definitely a possibility!
Tessonja Odette I would love to write a Princess and the Frog retelling! It's definitely on my radar :)
Tessonja Odette I'm so glad you enjoyed The Fair Isle Trilogy! A lot of the world building continues in the series that follows, Entangled with Fae, where you get to see the isle 20 years later. You discover (in bite-sized pieces throughout the series) who rules which courts, how court politics have changed, and how they determine the new rulers. However, I only "name" the rulers of the courts once I actively write about the characters. And I haven't written about the new Star Court royals yet! So that's something that won't have an answer until/unless I write about them. However, it's safe to say the new rulers aren't any characters you've met in The Fair Isle Trilogy. They would be characters who made a bid for the throne after the events of the trilogy, and were granted the blessing of the All of All over all the other contestants to the throne. I can assure you that the Star Court is thriving, and a few of my newer books take place there!
Tessonja Odette You absolutely can read Curse of the Wolf King/Entangled with Fae series before The Fair Isle Trilogy :) Lots of my readers start with Entangled and then go back to read Fair Isle. There are some cameos and crossover characters in Entangled who were first introduced in Fair Isle, but I fully reintroduce the characters in the standalone books, so that readers won't be missing anything if that's the first book they choose to start on!
Tessonja Odette It's definitely possible! I don't have plans for this retelling yet, but with animal shifter fae being a big part of my Faerwyvae world, a frog prince would fit right in :)
Tessonja Odette It isn't currently on my radar for my next couple retellings, but it definitely isn't out of the question for the future! It would be a really fun fairytale to explore :)
Tessonja Odette Yes! The Entangled with Fae series has no definite end, so I'll be continuing to write new standalones in the series for as long as I feel inspired :)
Tessonja Odette I've considered doing this, but the two stories are so short that even the combined single volume might still be too tiny in print edition. But it is possible! I'd just need to give it a little more thought as to proper execution :) It is helpful to hear that there are readers who would enjoy this though!
Tessonja Odette I'm so glad you enjoyed Heart of the Raven Prince! As to what to read next, that's totally up to you! I'm a mood reader, so I like having (and giving) options :) If you're craving more standalone romances or fairytales where you know you'll get a happily ever after in the span of a single book, then feel free to read any of the other Entangled with Fae books next in any order! OR if you're craving epic fantasy with an enemies-to-lovers romance that spans all three books, The Fair Isle Trilogy will deliver while getting you immersed in the history and world building that the later books revolve around. I hope that helps!
Tessonja Odette That's so great to hear! I don't have any limits in mind when it comes to the total number of books that will be in this series, so I'll be continuing to write them for a good long while!
Tessonja Odette I would definitely consider it! I think a Jasmine + Aladdin pairing would work perfectly in Faerwyvae :)
Tessonja Odette I would totally do a Rapunzel retelling! I'm a little intimidated by that one, however, because the Disney version just might be my favorite animated princess film, especially because the chemistry between the leads is so dreamy. So I'd have to come up with a story and characters and a brand new romance that I love just as much as that version! It's been very fulfilling retelling fairytales that I've always wanted to alter and explore certain aspects of, but I'm sure I could find a spark of inspiration for something new and exciting with Rapunzel too :)
Tessonja Odette Great questions and I'm so glad you liked the first books in the series! As for how many books there will be in the Entangled with Fae series, I haven't committed to a final number. I would like to at least write Sleeping Beauty and Snow White retellings, but the possibilities are endless and I want to keep writing them until I've explored all the fairytales that inspire me. As for a single volume bind up of the first three, I haven't decided on whether I'll be doing that. It's definitely a possibility I've considered, but for now I plan on keeping them as individual books :) My favorite form of chocolate is vegan white chocolate! It's rare to find white chocolate that's vegan, but I absolutely love it when I can! And favorite type of bookmark...I love ones that feature character art or quotes from books. Or ones made from unique materials like natural wood!
Tessonja Odette That's definitely a possibility! I loved writing Franco as bi because it felt so authentic to his character. And I'd love to showcase LGBTQ+ main character romances in the future.
Tessonja Odette Good question! That depends on what the reader is already comfortable reading and what they (or the parent) consider explicit. If they are used to reading books like the ACOTAR series, Serpent and Dove, or Shadows Between Us, Curse of the Wolf King and Heart of the Raven Prince are pretty similar in content. Romance-wise, the steam levels are similar to books like A Court of Thorns and Roses or Serpent and Dove, but NOT as steamy as adult books like A Court of Silver Flames or From Blood and Ash. As far as language, there are some instances of profanity, including a couple uses of the "f" word in Curse of the Wolf King. Overall, it's moderate. I hope this helps! Thanks for the question!
Tessonja Odette Yep, you got it! Showcasing consensual relationships between legal-aged adults is something I will strive to maintain in this series.
Tessonja Odette Thanks for this question! In my Entangled with Fae series (and the same goes the The Fair Isle Trilogy as well), the romances are always between a "legal adult" and a love interest who at least looks close to the main character's age. My human female main characters are 18-19, while the fae love interests tend to be several hundred years old. Physically and mentally, however, the fae are able to stop aging when they reach maturity. This means the love interests will always appear close to the same age as the main characters, or at most early-to-mid twenties.

In the case where the main female character is fae/half fae, she will be at least 18 years old, with a physical appearance to match. And in the case that I write a human male love interest for an immortal fae main character (which is likely to happen in the third Entangled with Fae book/Little Mermaid retelling), the same principles will apply. For example, he would be at least 18, and the fae main character would be at least that same age (if not a couple hundred years old), but will remain 18-20 in physical appearance.
