It actually somewhat depends on the book. Most books I have had to write at night, when the day quiets, and emails stop coming, and I can focus on another world. Also, up until recently I was working full time during the day. I still work full time, but now the hours are more flexible. The only time I have a hell of a time writing is in the morning... Not even coffee seems to help.
