How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jacquelyn Heat A big key for me is to find ways to let go, stop trying so hard, and let my subconscious work on it. Sometimes I'll have a lie-down on the couch and envision the scene while I drift on the edge of sleep. I also make a playlist to act as the soundtrack for the story, which I listen to in the shower and on my commutes. The soundtrack helps me get into the characters' heads and feel things out naturally.
