D.M. Shiro I write, or I take a break. Of course, even when I take breaks, I find myself thinking of what I could or should write. So, I usually end up writing something anyways. But taking a break is always important to get the imagination flowing again.
D.M. Shiro I plan to begin writing it soon, so keep a look out for previews posted!
D.M. Shiro I get to stay at home with my family. And I get to be whoever I wish to be. Living through my characters, and learning new things to help develop the story... it's like living multiple lives at once. It's exhilarating.
D.M. Shiro Write from the heart. Use your experiences, and build your own worlds. Write something you would want to read, or even better yet - write what you believe in. Write to yourself and for yourself. And no matter what, just keep pushing forward. It may seem never ending, but when you finally have a finished product in your hand, something tangible, then you can truly feel proud of all the work you put into it.
D.M. Shiro I'm currently working on marketing my book, "The Grate", and will soon be starting its sequel. So, be on the lookout for previews!
D.M. Shiro Honestly, I can't stop thinking about it. When I write, it just comes naturally. Some things I see in scenes or pictures, or I get a feeling, and I just write it down so I can incorporate it later. And when I'm not writing, I can't stop thinking about it. Like it is calling out to me, like unfinished business. And I feel guilty not writing. Regardless, if I feel uninspired to write, or too tired, then I just write anything. It doesn't have to be my book, but writing helps the ideas to flow.
D.M. Shiro It's been a political and religious view brewing for a couple of years now. I tried sitting down and writing it out, even going so far as to put it down step-by-step, but it never came out. Some of the book is based on my own life, and regardless of my experiences it was hard to put that down into words. But when I started writing "The Grate", it just started to flow, no hesitation; going so far as to write 7 chapters per day. So, this book is a mixture of both.
