My debut novel, Double Agent, is going to be released January 15th! On top of that, I am currently writing the first installment of my upcoming Sandy Heights series. I'm not quite sure exactly how many novels are going to be in the series yet, but I have a few ideas planned out.

Being able to craft a story. You have complete control over the world, the plot, the characters, their emotions, etc. It is so rewarding to see a little idea you had one day come to life and become a novel.

Make sure you read your manuscript out loud. You will catch a lot of errors that way. Plus, it will help you with the flow of your story and prevent you from having awkward dialogue. It's a win-win!

In an episode of Jane the Virgin, one character mentions that when you have writer's block, the problem is often further back in your story. For me, I find this to be true in most cases. I usually just go back to where I think the problem might have originated. What if I change this? How will that change the story?
