J.P. Nicholas Reading is the best inspiration for me. My ideas generally come to me while I'm reading another romance novel.
J.P. Nicholas My debut novel, Double Agent, is going to be released January 15th! On top of that, I am currently writing the first installment of my upcoming Sandy Heights series. I'm not quite sure exactly how many novels are going to be in the series yet, but I have a few ideas planned out.
J.P. Nicholas Being able to craft a story. You have complete control over the world, the plot, the characters, their emotions, etc. It is so rewarding to see a little idea you had one day come to life and become a novel.
J.P. Nicholas Make sure you read your manuscript out loud. You will catch a lot of errors that way. Plus, it will help you with the flow of your story and prevent you from having awkward dialogue. It's a win-win!
J.P. Nicholas In an episode of Jane the Virgin, one character mentions that when you have writer's block, the problem is often further back in your story. For me, I find this to be true in most cases. I usually just go back to where I think the problem might have originated. What if I change this? How will that change the story?
